사랑 하옵는 독생녀 참 어머님
참 어머님 그간 안녕하시온지요. 멀리 미국에서 경배 올리오며 문안 올리옵니다. 먼저 참 어머님 자서전 인류의눈물을 닦아주는 평화의 어머니 가 한국에서 베스트 셀러로 등극하신것을 감축드리옵니다. 참어머님 의 말씀처럼 참과 거짓이 자명간 확실하게 규명되고 독생녀 참어머님을 중심한 새로운 희망의 역사가 펼쳐 질것을 예견하시고 국민들 마음속에서도 그동안 그늘진 생활에 참 어머님의 가정, 국가, 세계단위을 넘으서신 하늘 부모님 섭리에 참 어머님께서 중심에 서시어 세계섭리을 운행하신 기적의 역사에 공감되며 하나되어가는 섭리가 일어나고 있다고 여겨 집니다. 또한 오늘의 코로나 바이러스 로 역경을 경험하고 있는 이러한 고난에 한국에 세계에 희망을 주시며 모든 만방을 인류의 슬픈 역사를 희망과 행복과 평화의 이상을 세계인류에게 교육해 주신 자서전이라 생각 됩니다.
자서전을 읽고 또 읽으면서 다음 4가지 의 큰 감동을 경험하였습니다.
첫째는 참 어머님이 과연누구신가에 대해 다시한번 배움의 시간을 가졌습니다. 지금까지 몇권의 책들속에서 참 어머님의 간증과 소개등을 관찰해 왔지만 평화의 어머님 자사전에서는 지금까지와는 확연하게 다른 독생녀로서 참 어머님 소개, 참 부모님, 메시아로서 참 어머님 소개, 참 아버님과함께 메시아로서 활동 하신 참어머님, 그리고 지난 7년간의 끈임없으신 세계구원섭리의 중심으로 하늘 부모님 독생녀를 제 심정속으로 모셨습니다. 첫 장에서부터 참어머님께서 단호하게 명확하게 독생녀 이심을 선포하셨습니다. 하늘 섭리에 항상 중심이셨던 참 어머님 가정과 하늘 섭리역사를 소개하시면서 독생녀의 이상을 실천을 설명해 주셨습니다. 2014년 12월 라스베가스에서 330명 목사들에게 하늘 부모님 섭리와 특히 기독교 섭리을 일깨우시며 독생녀을 처음으로 선포하실때의 모든 목사들이 너무나도 큰 깨우침 우렁찬 박수를 지금도 잊지못하며, 그리고 2년 전 동경호텔에서 와싱톤 타임즈 일본 방문 대표단을 맞이하실때 미국 전 CIA 국장 울시 대사부부의 꽃 다발을 받으시고 좌정하시자마자, 내가 누군지 아세요 하시며 내가 독생녀라고 하신 광경을 생생하게 하는 페이지들 이 였습니다. 이후에도 공개석상에서 항상 기독교 섭리을 강론하시며 하늘 섭리는 바로 독생녀 을 찾는 역사임을 천명해 주셨습니다. 저는 이런 경험속에서 독생녀이심을 알리는 책장을 넘길때 마다 더욱더 깊게 참 어머님의 독생녀 섭리을 새기게 되는 순간순간이어서 너무나 감동적이었습니다. 독생녀로서 하늘의 축복 가호속에 성장기간을 거치시고, 가정, 국가 세계을 넘어 천주적 승리을 하신 참어머님을 나의 어머님으로 모시는 평화의 어머니 이셨습니다.
둘째로 평화의 어머니 자서전은 참 아버님을 가장 잘 증거하신 교과서입니다. 참 어머님의 간증을 통해 참아버님이 메시아로서 세계적인 활동과 그 동안의 역경을 헤쳐오신과정, 승리선포의 섭리을 증거하셨습니다. 가장 가슴속에 남는 대목은 참 아버님께서 1984년 7월20일 밤 늦게 댄버리에 도착하셨는데 다음날 새벽에 참 어머님께 전화을 하시면서 “하나님 소명에 따라 기독교에 봉홧불을 붙여라. 이말을 모든 식구들에게 전해 주세요” 하시면서 기독교 각성을 위해 활동을 당부하신 내용에는 참 부모님을 환영해야 할 축복받은 기독교 국가 미국이 책임을 완성하여 참 부모님을 모시고 가야할 하늘의 섭리와 참 아버님의 미국에 대한 사랑을 알리셨습니다. 참 어머님을 통한 참아버님 증거야 말로 그 어느 누구도 증거할수없는 고귀한 내용이었습니다. 미국 식구들에게 말씀하면서 참 아버님과 참 어머님의 고통을 그리고 피와 땀과 눈물로 승리하신 기반을 상속받자며 함께 결심을 할수 있도록 해 주셨습니다.
셋째로는 평화의 어머니, 독생녀 참 어머님 지난 7년노정의 대 승리 선언이셨습니다. 어찌 참 어머님의 노정을 408쪽의 자서전으로 하늘 독생녀의 섭리를 다 설명할수 있겠습니까. 그러한 제약된 가운데서도 참 어머님의 안따까운 심정을 하늘심정으로 승화 시키시며, 모든 환경을 극복하신 독생녀 대 승리를 감동으로 인류들에게 증거하셨습니다. 저는 참 어머님 자서전에서 특히 언급하신 미국 섭리에 대한 내용은 3번 4번 5번까지 봉독하면서 최선으로 실감을 느낄수 있도록 그리고 이해 하도록 노력을 하였습니다. 참 어머님 지난 12월28일 뉴왁 대회의 책장에서는 10번 가까이 봉독 하면서 놀라운 깨우침을 얻었습니다. 저는 28일 대회에서 말씀중에 참 어머님 께서 눈물을 닦으시며 작은 흐느끼시는 것을 무대 옆에서 들었습니다. 지금 까지 보지못한 광경이었습니다. 저는 식구들에게 참 어머님 의 대 승리의 기쁨의 눈물이라 했습니다. 행복의 기쁨이라고도 했습니다. 참 어머님 자서전 400쪽에 “그리고 12월 28일 , 마침내 ‘신 통일 세계를 위한 희망전진 대회’ 가 거행되었습니다. 미국과 전 세계의 기독교 성직자와 성도 2만 5천 여명이 함께했습니다. 이를 통해 마침내 세계기독교 성직자 협의회가 창립되었습니다. ‘참 아버님의 유업을 완성하겠다’는 나의 결의는 기독교를 하나되게 하는 것이 었습니다.” 이 귀절을 10번이상 반복하면서, 마침내, 드디어 참 어머님의 기쁨의 한없으신 단상에서의 흐느끼시는 눈물을 이해할수 있었습니다. 참 어머님의 대승리를 외치고 또 외쳤습니다. 그리고 식구들에게 자신있게 참 어머님의 대 승리를 증거하였습니다. 저는 분명하게 듣고 보았습니다. 7년전 성화식전 천정궁 3층 대 접견실에서 참 어머님께서는 참 아버님 이마에 입을 맞추시며 “ 아버님 그동안 너무나 수고많이 하셨으니 지상 걱정은 하지 마시고 천상에서 편히 수십시요. 내가 기필코 유업의 뜻을 성사시키겠습니다.” 라고 결심하셨습니다. 저는 자서전 을 읽으며 최상의 감동의 순간 이었습니다. 참 아버님의 유업을 완성하시겠다는 내용이 기독교을 하나되게 하겠다는 결심을 실감하는 순간, 참 아버님께서 미국 선교초창기 맨하탄 5번가를 걸으시며 대성통곡하신 광경, 참 어머님께서 마침내 참 아버님 유업을 완성하시며 기쁨의 눈물을 체휼하며 희망과 대승리의 눈물을 흘리셨습니다. 저 또한 무한한 감사을 봉헌하면서 통곡하지않을수 없었습니다. 12살때 고모의 손에 이끌려 교회에 첫 발을 디디고, 지난 45년의 공직생활을 하면서 퍼즐 에서 지난 55년동안 찾고자 했던 마지막 피스을 찾아 승리한것 처럼 감사와 결심을 다시하게 되었습니다.
참 아버님께서는 기성교단의 끈임없는 박해속에 세계기독교 통일신령협회 The Holy Spirit Association for Unification of the World Christianity 를 1954년 5월1일 창립하시면서, 그 목적이 바로 기독교라고 하셨습니다. 성령은 어머니 성신역사을 뜻하고 있습니다. 성신의 역사로 기독교을 통일 하는 것이 바로 통일교회 목적이였습니다. 지난 12월28일 뉴욕대회에서 참 어머님의 역사로 세계기독교의 통일시대을 신통일세계 섭리로 출정하셨습니다. 이 얼마나 참 아버님, 하늘 부모님이 기뻐하신날이었습니까. 이 기쁨이 참 어머님의 기쁨의 눈물로 승화되었습니다. 1996년 7월30일 와싱톤 에서 창립하신 세계평화 통일 가정연합의 목적도 통일교회 단위을 넘어서 바로 세계 기독교권 중심한 세계평화구현에 그 목적을 두고 있었습니다. 이러한 대 승리의 터전위에 참 어머님께서는 기원절 8주년과 참 아버님 100주년 탄신기념일에 마침내 천일국 안착을 하늘 땅 천주에 선포하시며, 78억 안류들에게 축복으로 대 승리를 경축해 주셨습니다.
자서전을 읽는 모든 독자들에게 생명샘 같은 새 생명을 준것 만이 아니라 지금까지 참 부모님을 모시고 따라온 1세2세권에게도 은혜와 같은 생명줄을 더 단단하게 해 주신 평화의 어머님께 무한한 감사를 올리면 저의 부족한 독후감을 올리옵니다.

“Beloved Only Begotten Daughter, My True Mother
True Mother, how have you been all this time? I send my greetings from faraway America with deep respect and warm regards. Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your Memoir, ‘The Mother of Peace: And God Shall Wipe Away All Tears from Their Eyes,’ becoming a bestseller in Korea. As True Mother stated, the distinction between truth and falsehood is now clear, and a new history of hope centered around True Mother, the Only Begotten Daughter, is unfolding. In the hearts of the people, both within Korea and beyond, I believe that you, True Mother, have taken the central role in guiding the providence of Heaven beyond national and global boundaries.
Moreover, in the face of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, you have brought hope to Korea and the world, educating all nations about the ideals of hope, happiness, and peace through your Memoir.
As I read and re-read your Memoir, I was deeply moved by four significant aspects:
Firstly, I had the opportunity to once again learn about who True Mother truly is. While I had encountered various descriptions and testimonies of True Mother in several books, ‘The Mother of Peace Memoir provided a markedly different perspective. It introduced True Mother as the Only Begotten Daughter, True Parents, her role as the Messiah, her activities as True Mother in partnership with True Father, and her unwavering dedication to the worldwide providence for the past seven years. Right from the first chapter, True Mother unequivocally declared her status as the Only Begotten Daughter. She introduced her family and the history of Heaven’s providence, explaining the ideals of the Only Begotten Daughter. I vividly remember the resounding applause from over 330 pastors in Las Vegas in December 2014 when you first proclaimed the providence of the Only Begotten Daughter and awakened them to Heaven’s providence, especially the Christian providence. I also recall the moment, just two years ago at the Tokyo Hotel, when you received a bouquet of flowers from Ambassador and Mrs. Woolsey, former U.S. CIA director, and upon sitting down, you asked, ‘Do you know who I am?’ and stated, ‘I am the Only Begotten Daughter.’ These pages vividly capture these moments. Since then, you have consistently preached the providence of Christianity on public stages, emphasizing that Heaven’s providence is the search for the Only Begotten Daughter. Reading these passages, I was deeply moved, and with each turn of the page, I found myself more deeply impressed by True Mother’s providence as the Only Begotten Daughter in Heaven’s blessings and protection. As a True Begotten Daughter who grew up in the embrace of Heaven, you became the Mother of Peace who embraced not only your family and nation but also the world. You are the Mother of Peace. I consider True Mother as my Mother.
Secondly, ‘The Mother of Peace Memoir serves as the most compelling testimony of True Father. Through True Mother’s account, we witness True Father’s journey as the Messiah, his global activities, and his endurance through challenges. The most memorable passage for me was when True Father arrived in Denver late at night on July 20, 1984, and the next morning, he called True Mother, saying, ‘Follow God’s calling, and light a beacon for Christianity. Please convey this message to all your family members.’ In this message, True Father entrusted the responsibility of awakening Christianity for the sake of the providence, emphasizing the need for the United States, a blessed Christian nation, to fulfill its responsibility and welcome True Parents. True Mother’s testimony about True Father was the most noble content that cannot be witnessed by anyone else. It allowed us to inherit True Parents’ pain, blood, sweat, and tears as the foundation for our determination to carry on their work.
Thirdly, ‘The Mother of Peace Memoir marks True Mother’s declaration of victory over the past seven years. How can True Mother’s seven-year providence be encompassed in a 408-page memoir? Despite these constraints, True Mother’s Memoir conveys her profound determination as she transforms the challenges she faced into a victory for humanity. I particularly focused on the content related to the providence in the United States from chapters three to five. Reading the book multiple times, I gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for these sections. I vividly remember witnessing True Mother’s tears at the Newark WCLC rally on December 28, 2019. It was an unprecedented sight. I told my family that these were tears of joy and happiness. True Mother’s Memoir reads, ‘And on December 28th, the “Hope Forward Rally for the New Heavenly Unified World” was finally held. Twenty-five thousand Christian clergy and faithful from the United States and around the world gathered together. Through this event, the World Christian Leadership Conference was founded. My resolution was to unite Christianity to complete my True Father’s legacy, the Will of God.’ Repeating this content more than ten times, True Mother’s emotional tears of joy became palpable to me. I joyously and confidently proclaimed True Mother’s great victory to my family. I witnessed it clearly. Seven years ago, in the Grand Reception Room on the third floor of Cheonjeong Palace during the Seonghwa Ceremony, True Mother kissed True Father on the forehead and said, ‘Father, you have worked so hard. Please don’t worry about the earthly realm; rest comfortably in the heavenly realm. I will definitely fulfill the Will of Heaven.’ It was the moment of greatest emotion for me as I read the Memoir. The content about fulfilling True Father’s legacy resonated with me deeply, making me realize the determination to unite Christianity for the sake of True Parents’ ideals. The sight of True Father wailing loudly as he walked down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan in the early days of his mission to the United States, and the tears of joy as True Mother finally completes True Father’s legacy. He shed tears of hope and great victory as he experienced this. I, too, could not help but weep as I offered my infinite gratitude. At the age of 12, I was led by my aunt to go to church, and while working in public office for the past 45 years, I have regained my gratitude and determination, as if I had won by finding the final piece in a puzzle that I had been trying to find for the past 55 years.
Lastly, True Father founded the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity on May 1, 1954, amid continuous persecution from established Christian denominations. He stated that the purpose of this organization was to unify Christianity. The term ‘Holy Spirit’ signifies the history of the Holy Spirit, and this history represents the unification of Christianity, which was the purpose of the Unification Church. On December 28, 2019 at the New Jersey Prudential Center Rally, True Mother initiated a new era of unification for world Christianity through her own providential history, declaring it as the providence of the Heavenly Unified World. How joyful this day must have been for True Father and Heaven! True Mother’s tears of joy became the joy of Heaven. The purpose of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, founded in Washington, D.C., on July 30, 1996, also extended beyond the Unification Church to focus on achieving global peace centered on Christianity. On this foundation of great victory, True Mother proclaimed Cheon Il Guk’s establishment in Heaven and on Earth on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of Foundation Day and True Father’s 100th birthday celebration, blessing all 7.8 billion people.
To all readers of this Memoir, I want to express my endless gratitude not only for granting new life like a spring but also for strengthening the lifeline of the 1st and 2nd generations who have followed True Parents to this day.
